Rajasthan Tourism debuted with strategic flair at ITB Berlin 2026, unveiling its living heritage showcase, sustainability-driven circuits, eco-friendly hospitality initiatives and cultural experiences under the striking theme “From Desert to Rhine”—a compelling narrative designed to captivate global travel trade buyers, strengthen India-Germany tourism ties and elevate the state’s brand on the world’s largest travel industry platform.

Rajasthan TourismAt the 60th edition of ITB Berlin, Rajasthan Tourism launched a bold promotional campaign that blended desert grandeur with responsible travel innovation, creating a standout presence among nearly 6,000 global exhibitors. This strategic push at the Berlin ExpoCenter City—one of the most influential travel trade stages—signals Rajasthan’s determination to convert marketing visibility into European demand.

Rajasthan’s showcase spotlighted its diverse landscapes, from the serene sands of the Thar to lush riverine regions, and historic forts that embody living heritage. It also underscored a growing focus on sustainable tourism—highlighting eco-camps, community homestays and green travel experiences that align with evolving European preferences.

At the pavilion, Tourism Commissioner Rukmani Riar shared that Rajasthan recorded approximately 1.94 million foreign visits in 2025, with nearly 575,968 travellers from 25 key European markets—a testament to the region’s rising desirability among global explorers. Germany ranked among the top three European source markets, reinforcing its strategic importance in Rajasthan’s outbound strategy.

Riar said, “By emphasising our heritage, diverse itinerary offerings and responsible tourism practices, we are positioning Rajasthan as a culturally rich, sustainable and unforgettable experience for the world.”

In addition to cultural storytelling, the delegation engaged in targeted business-to-business meetings with European tour operators, presenting new circuits, tailored travel packages and collaborations to enhance year-round connectivity and bookings.

This global momentum arrives as destinations worldwide rally to reinvent tourism in a post-pandemic landscape, and Rajasthan’s narrative of heritage + sustainability resonates strongly with quality travellers seeking immersive experiences.
