Verma Jewellers Wins Its 15th National Award
Himachal’s three-generation jewellery house honoured at the Retail Jeweller India Awards 2026
Solan, September 5, 2026: Verma Jewellers has added another national honour to its growing list of achievements, winning Groom’s Accessory of the Year at the Retail Jeweller India Awards 2026, held at the Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The brand was also nominated in the Jadau Earring category.
The award was received by Mr Akshay Verma, Managing Director, who addressed the media in Solan along with Ms Pallavi Verma, Creative Director, following the ceremony.
“The award may have been presented in Mumbai, but its foundation has always been in Himachal. Every one of our fifteen national awards reflects the trust our customers have placed in us over generations,” said Mr Akshay Verma.
Founded in 1967 by the late Shri Jawala Prasad Verma, the business was carried forward by Shri Naresh Chand Verma, who established its present Solan premises in 1995. In September 2002, Verma Jewellers became the first jeweller in Himachal Pradesh to receive BIS hallmarking certification.
For the brand, the latest recognition is also a validation of the design and craftsmanship being created in Himachal.
“A national award is more than a trophy for us. It reinforces our belief that customers in Himachal should have access to sophisticated design and a jewellery experience they can trust without having to look towards the metros,” Mr Verma added.
The winning creation, developed by the brand’s in-house design studio, is an intricate gold representation of Lord Shiva embellished with blue sapphire (Nilam) and diamonds. The nominated Jadau earring features polki-style diamonds, rubies, emeralds and pearls. Both pieces were showcased for the media.
Ms Pallavi Verma, Creative Director, said, “Our design philosophy goes beyond aesthetics. We consider the occasion, the customer’s personality, clothing and how comfortably the jewellery can be worn over the years. This recognition is an acknowledgement of the creativity and craftsmanship of our team.”
Verma Jewellers operates flagship showrooms in Solan and Rohru and will host its Wedding Jewellery Exhibition in Solan from 13–16 September at Hotel The Grand Paragon Palace and in Shimla from 19–22 September at Hotel Marina, Mall Road. The brand will also unveil its Polki collection at the exhibition.
