A day after Bachchan Pandey’s team began shooting a film in Jaisalmer, Akshay Kumar shared his new look from the film on Social Media. The actor, who will co-star in the film directed by Farhad Samji with Kriti Sanon and Arshad Warsi, posted a picture of himself from the set, in which a rugged look can be seen sporting a scar across his face, bearded, wounded eyes and wearing a black shirt, paired with blue jeans and heavy gold chains. There’s an intense expression. We can also see in the picture a crew member holding the film’s clapboard.
Akshay Kumar wrote sharing the photo: “New year, old associations…begun shooting for #BachchanPandey, my 10th film with #SajidNadiadwala, and hopefully many more. Need your best wishes” and then asked his fans: “Tell me about the look with your thoughts.” Sajid Nadiadwala, with whom Akshay Kumar has worked on several films, but more on that later, is producing Bachchan Pandey.

Kriti Sanon posted a couple of pictures from Bachchan Pandey’s set on Wednesday. With the production that gave me my very first film, she wrote, “1st day of the first film shot in 2021! Here we go, #BachchanPandey.”

For films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and the Housefull series, Akshay Kumar and Sajid Nadiadwala have worked together before Bachchan Pandey. In Housefull 4, Farhad Samji previously directed Akshay Kumar and Kriti Sanon.
Pankaj Tripathi, Jacqueline Fernandez and Prateik Babbar will also star in Bachchan Pandey. Akshay Kumar will star in the film as a gangster pretending to be an actor. The role of Kriti Sanon is that of a journalist who wants to be a director, and Arshad Warsi will play the role of an actor who is struggling.
