Ira Singhal’s Leftover Ka Makeover was a huge success

Besides spending time with their families, everyone has also been making some delicious food during this lockdown. Well, to give this an innovative twist Chef Ira Singhal, founder of Kitchen of Flavour, along with the entire kitchen of flavor’s team chef Priyanka, chef Ulka Sntra, chef Harsh Bothra, and chef Harshita Aggarwal came up with a rather interesting competition called ‘Leftover Ka Makeover’
 
Talking about the same, Ira says, “It was a very unique and interesting concept. COVID-19 as taught us to value food more and saving it from the wastage. And as people are trying their hand at cooking and showcasing their culinary skills, there is plenty of leftover food in many houses. Moreover, we also wanted to make a contribution to the PM cares Fund. So we curated the concept of the online contest by which the entry fees will be contributed to the PM fund. People will make any dish from leftover food. The contest also gave us ideas on how to use food wisely.”
 
The initiative was judged by two renowned chefs, chef Ajay Chopra and Chef Ripudaman Handa. And winners of ‘leftover ka makeover’ were Tripti Mishra, Uzma Meraj, and Monika Karhe.
 
Ira is thrilled to have contributed a sizable amount. to the PM care fund and informed, “I can proudly say that we have fulfilled our objective because have we contributed a handsome amount to the PM Care fund. Ira had recently organized a culinary event called Chef of Delhi in the capital city as well. Talking about her future plans, she says, “All future plans depend on the period of lockdown. I appeal to everyone to please stay at home, stay safe, and don’t waste food. After that, we are planning some series of cooking events in different cities.”
