In a new social media post, actor Arjun Rampal confirmed that he was never on the wrong side of the law, without making any reference to the drug investigation currently being conducted on him.
Rampal began the new year with a long post on what he learned in 2020, a year that saw him being investigated by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput in June, as part of the agency’s investigation into the suspected Bollywood drug nexus.
“Wishing all of you a safe, blessed, healthy and prosperous 2021. 2020 taught us a lot. My learning is attached to have a read. Happy new year,” wished Arjun Rampal to his Instagram fam.
“So, as we move into 2021, my thoughts of a year that filled millions of lives with terror, anxiety, disruption, scandals, hypocrisy, lies, facts, realization, enlightenment, bravery, power, courage, charity, uncertainty, clarity and character are penetrating me with concern,” his post further read.
I have felt most of these feelings myself, as I secretly experienced most of them consuming me with an emotion that he wrote for each of the adjectives. He said that there is a tendency to take them for granted as far as family is concerned, always assuming that they are always there, before relationships become relationships. He did thank each of them, however, and expressed gratitude.
Professionally, 2020 was expected to be Arjun’s busy year. “With my calendar already booked for 280 days, I was confident the days would pass. But no, there were other plans in the world,” He wrote. “Pause, stop, think, listen, appreciate, understand, and learn where the feelings felt,” continued in the post.
The actor from Nail Polish said that due to the pandemic, he was filled with appreciation for working again in the new standard. Even, in the age of social media, he thanked his followers. 2020 also showed how terribly dishonest, destructive and risky it has been. “I just want to thank all of his fans for being so dignified and strong during the times and the news that engulfed me,” he wrote hinting about the drugs probe.
“I would like to tell each of you that I am well aware of my duties as a celebrity, a father and a citizen of a nation that I dearly love because I have never been on the wrong side of the law. All of you have nothing to worry or speculate about, as I didn’t do anything wrong. I love all of you, and we will just spread love and peace together as we move forward. In our house, there is no room for any negativity,” he added.
He also commented on his friendships and relationships, which have changed in the last few months, “Old and fresh… many disappeared. A few remained. I thank you for all those who disappeared. I look forward to getting old with you for all who stayed.”
Speaking about the film industry, he said, “I am eternally indebted and thankful to all those who know me and believe in me. I am sorry for everyone I may have unintentionally affected in some way during this time. I forgive all those who could have done the same to me.”
As far as the media is concerned, Arjun said he discovered how ugly it is to hunt. Sharing his love for India, he said that from the pandemic and tragedies, the nation would emerge stronger. Arjun also thanked God and said, “With you on my side. Who needs a Godfather.” Concluding his note, he wrote: “Farewell 2020, I will never see you again, but I will never forget you as well.
