Bill Gates just purchased Porsche Taycan, an all-electric car

We have reports that this time again the famous YouTuber Marques Brownlee got a chance to have face to face with former CEO of Microsoft, Bill Gates,

one of the biggest personalities in the tech industry. As usual, Gates mostly focuses on how he can help the world with the work that he is doing, but this time he talked about electric cars in his recent interview.

Our news sources have reported that Gates, in one of the statements during the interview, revealed that he had purchased a Porsche Taycan recently. The car seems to be a pretty much interesting choice for the former CEO of Microsoft. The top model of the Porsche Taycan, which is Turbo S is priced at around A$200,00. The car has been designed to achieve a speed of 0-100km in just 2.8 seconds. And the top speed of the car is somewhere between 388 and 412km, according to the WLTP standard.

Gates already has a very impressive vehicle range, but choosing an EV as his latest purchase tells us about the current state of the electricity market. EVs can be bought, but mostly at the premium end of the price range. Gates stressed that every automaker works hard to bring EVs to the markets while talking about the future of electric cars.

It is quite an interesting thing that Gates is doing many cross-country road trips. America’s driving profile is not too different from Australia’s. This means a lot of traveling from one side of the country to another and sometimes families or tourist destinations. This is a completely soluble problem and one that can now be solved by choosing the right vehicle, with its combination of the right battery size, reliability, and charging infrastructure.

During his interview with Brownlee, Gates also said, “It is worth discussing approaches to advance a generation of people and to expand the EV market worldwide from 3 percent”.
